Jason Wuuuu-here did the time go?

Hey Y'all,
This post was created after the event due to purchasing, ordering, returning and reordering, which I believe some of you ladies will understand.
So, on top of Superbowl mania, The Jason Wu line at Target was released on February 5th and I had the opportunity to view both events.

I arrived at the Target store around 8:10am which is pretty late only to find most of the items off the rack. We were all just standing around waiting for the discarded items to come back from the fitting room. As some of you know when it’s a free for all and no system is in place, individuals can grab as many items as they want, which is what happened here.
As articles of clothing came back everyone was quick to snatch them up regardless if they were the right size (It’s like when you drop food into a fish tank and they all swarm up to the spot where the food was dropped, which is pretty amusing to witness so long as everyone keeps they’re cool).

I managed to grab the blouse with Tie in blush dots in a medium and the short sleeve tee with tie in cream in a small, only one fit.

I stood around for a bit to see if anymore items became available particularly the poplin dress in navy. I spoke to the manager who was also working as crowd control at the Wu section who said that they didn’t expect such a turn up, about 5 people stayed overnight and there were 60 people by the time the store open. They usually have a system where you cannot purchase more than two of the same item but that didn’t happen this time. He told me they grabbed huge bulks and headed to the fitting room. To no avail I decided to head home and get ready for the Championship game. I split my time between watching the game and viewing the Target website on my smart phone (obsess much? YES!)
Because items were also sold online I revisited the site for a couple of days. Everyone knows the lucky ones who were able to order items must’ve ordered multiple sizes (since you’re never sure if the items run true to size) and would be returning the unwanted items. I was able to order my poplin dress in navy and the sleeveless pleated shift dress in navy dots with black belt. After waiting for what felt like a month, my items had finally trickled in one by one.

First was the poplin dress, the only item I really wanted from the line but it turned out it didn’t fit my body type the right way, so I sent it back. The next was the pleated shift dress which was cute. Once I tried it on I fell in love with it, the dress fit my body perfectly and was very light and comfortable.

After a nice obsessive hunt for the Wu collection I was pretty happy with my purchases. This just goes to show you that even if you don’t stay overnight for an affordable collaboration there are still opportunities to get your hands on them and of course NY won the Superbowl, it was a win win situation.
