Ladies/Gentlemen Start Your Engines!

The New York International Auto Show is back. I attended the preview last night and the cars are hot! The show opens today (March 29) through April 7th at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
Highlights from last night include a great performance from Actress/Singer/DJ Taryn Manning for Lexus and KIA's Wonder Woman Sportage- WHAT!! "Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman. All the world's waiting for you and the power you possess." (Singing in my head)

                                 

FIGHTERS SOURCE MMA NYC

Hey Y'all,
Fighters Source had their first sanctioned amateur MMA event in New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom. Tryouts for event were conducted throughout the New York and New Jersey area. USA MMA Kick International Federation & Fighters Source will take the winners of Amateur MMA athletes to the international stage to compete at the prestigious Yong-In University in Seoul Korea. 
MMA is illegal in New York, that's why fans usually have to head over to Jersey or Vegas to watch a fight. The Assembly deems it extremely violent and would be considered a bad influence to children; however, I don't think there is one kid who doesn't know what MMA is and I believe there aren't any buttons on the remote/web that block an MMA fight. Not to mention the fact that there are several MMA schools in Manhattan. 
I enjoy watching MMA, it reminds me of wrestling with my cousins and brothers when I was young (It's an adrenaline rush, competitive and scary when you hurt yourself or the other person). These fighters pummel  themselves to the ground yet at the end of it all give each other a handshake and hug then go back to being friends at the end. 
I know MMA will eventually become legal and MSG will probably wind up hosting such an event, until that day comes I'll just have to keep trekking out to another City and watching Ultimate Fighter on TV. 

                                       

                                

                                

Depeche Mode in NYC

Hey Y'all,
Depeche Mode has been around since the 80's and I love them! They are touring Europe right now but were here in New York for a webcast. I heard they were performing at SXSW, if this is true I so wish I was there.
The new album Delta Machine will drop on Tuesday March 26th. The first single off the new Album is called "Heaven" but I think it should have been "Angel".
I just can't get enough of this band. The performance was about an hour which was a tease for me; however, it's a question of time. It's a strangelove that I feel, If you have no idea what I'm talking about try walking in my shoes. I can spend hours listening to them. You put on your ipod, click on Depeche Mode, click on "All Songs" and you'll be in heaven, over and over.
Unfortunately, the videos I took are short because I wanted to live in the moment with DM, this was one of those selfish times.

 

 

Jump for your Life

Hey Y'all,
I've been taking classes at JUMPLIFE. The classes include jumping on a trampoline and you get a crazy workout. They offer two classes, JumpGym which combines weights with your jumping and JumpDance where they turn down the lights and your workout becomes a club setting.
Eyewitness News attended our class, where I got a quick interview. If you looking for something easy on your joints and knees this is definitely the workout for you.
