NO PANTS IN NYC!

Hey Y'all,
This Sunday was the annual "No Pants Day" created by Improv EverywhereImprov Everywhere is a New York City-based prank collective that causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places. Created in August of 2001 by Charlie Todd, Improv Everywhere has executed over 100 missions involving tens of thousands of undercover agents.
I was so excited to attend this event because I'm usually busy every year and the weather was perfect for it. Let me just say this event is very organized with the amount of participants it has. Facebook's No Pants Day invite had over 6,000 people attending!
This is something I will definitely put in my calendar for years to come, I had a great time and I know everyone else did too.

I'm a Tan Latina but January 1st I'm a Polar Bear!

Hey Y'all,
On New Year's Eve I run 4 miles and on January 1st I join the Coney Island Polar Bear club in their annual New Year's Day swim .
Not only is it a great way to continue your fitness but it also helps to bring any swelling down from the run the night before.
Yes, it is cold water in the winter but it is also very invigorating to your body.
I took tons of pics with a disposable water camera so they aren't the best but I love being able to take pics in the water while your screaming and jumping up and down cause its so cold.

Polar Bear Swim Prep:
-Wear warm clothing getting there.
-Have your bathing suits, swimming trunks under your warm clothes, it will save time.
-Bring your water shoes or old sneakers with you (make sure you have a dry pair to change into)
-Bring a change of underwear, you don't want to walk around in cold wet clothes after.
-Bring a towel and camera of course.
-Lots of plastic bags. You will need them to put your muddy shoes in and your wet clothing.
-If you would like to run out of the corral with the Bears, you must register. When registering they will have you fill out a form, after you will be given a bracelet (A donation to Camp Sunshine is encouraged, Please donate!).
-After your swim, you can go and collect your Certificate of Achievement Yay!
and then the party starts on the boardwalk with DJ music playing and everyone in good spirits.
The Bear club swims every Sunday from November to April for more information please check out their website Polar Bear Club

A special shout out to my friend J.L. We always support each other and can count on one another for these great adventures! 2-0-1-3
